Recently, I did a search of the Bible. I simply put in the words GOD IS and let the app do the work. I wrote down the descriptions of God and ignored the things where God did something. I did the same search with THE LORD IS and wrote down those.
For the month of December, I’m going to share some of what I found. Many of them are repetitive, so I will only list some of the verses. I’m going to combine the two lists…

Col. 3:12-17
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
More next week.
Blessings,
What a blessing this post was for me this morning! Just reading through the list of who God is was so wonderful that by the end of the list I was no longer reading, but declaring out loud who He is. Then when I read the portion of scripture in Colossians you posted, it bright tears of joy to my eyes. Why? Because just this morning, God led me to the same passage. We mulled it over together and then he spoke to me that I am on the right path and to just keep walking. Your post was a confirmation, sister. I want you to know that God has impressed on me to be praying for you and I have been for the past few days. I will continue. Looks like He has us both on the same page!
Thanks, Jan. He’s so good!
