Laying Down THAT Thing

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial,
for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown
of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

James 1:12 (ESV)

You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD,
and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

Is. 62:3 (ESV)

I joined a FB group for artists. It’s a class of sorts to encourage artists to grow toward God as they create.

Day 1 was a challenge to say “Yes” to God.

While writing is my MAIN artistic adventure, it is by no means my only creative outlet. I am not very good, but I dabble. So, over the last two days, I sketched and painted (watercolor) this picture. It has been in my mind for months, after receiving it during a church service.

When I God gave me the picture, He told me that I had to lay down my ordinary, plain crown, so that HE could give me the crown He had prepared for me. #stillbringstears

I don’t know about you, but I struggle daily to lay down that plain, old crown–my ways, my ideas, my time table.

Have you ever received a vision/word from God that just wouldn’t leave you?

Blessings,

Ginger
